Description

Description

Numerous photographs, many of which have not been published until now, alongside well-known and published ones, as well as autographs, original sketches that were once seen in newspapers and later managed to be included in his collection, costumes and programs, records, posters, and books, he decided to gather them in a rich illustrated bilingual edition (Greek - English) under the signature of the Archive of Thiran Studies - Collection of Dimitris Tsitouras, on the occasion of the completion of 60 years since Nureyev's first appearance at Herodes and 30 years since his death.

And while a picture may be worth a thousand words, the new edition also includes texts that highlight additional aspects of Nureyev's relationship with Greece, written by various contributors, including the academic Manolis Korres regarding the monument where the protagonist of the edition was honored, and personalities who knew him, such as Theodoros Kritas, Rozita Sokou (to whom the book is dedicated), Alexis Kostalas, and Dimis Argiroploulos, who share anecdotes and unseen scenes that remained away from the limelight.
