Pot: 10.5 cm
Species: Euphorbia fruticosa Forssk.
Family: Euphorbiaceae
Euphorbia fruticosa is one of the best Euphorbia varieties for indoor spaces. It tolerates low light conditions, but ideally prefers good lighting levels where possible. It is easy to maintain and requires:
- Soil with good aeration and drainage
- A small percentage of peat
It is watered regularly from March to September and is left almost completely dry during the winter months, when it enters dormancy.
Note: Like all euphorbias, when a stem is cut, it exudes a white, milky liquid known as latex, which can cause irritation if it comes into contact with the skin. Care is required to avoid contact with the mouth or eyes.
