Terrible phone. I have had it for a year and a half. A few months ago I sent it to Xiaomi's headquarters for repair and they said they replaced the defect and that it is excellent. It still loses SIM 2, it still freezes quite a lot in apps from time to time as well as in the camera. And most importantly, it keeps losing signal every now and then even though it shows full signal, and the data signal crawls with almost not even 1mbps
The worst phone from Redmi, it keeps losing photos and videos, it overheats and you can't recover them, it's useless everywhere
Purchase DEC 2024 €190, at first problem with mobile signal, I changed the sim, the signal was fixed, the battery performance has dropped a bit after 14 months, everything else is ok until today,
A lot of money for this particular product...
Positives:
Nice colors, elegant, beautiful phone
Satisfactory sound, fast (at least with the 8GB RAM/256GB version I have), great for browsing, movies, YouTube, has a nice display/screen, and for multi-tasking you won't experience any lag, and it charges very quickly, in about 30 minutes it is fully charged.
Negatives:
The camera has nothing to do with what it claims, 108MP.
It produces noise, a kind of blur I would say, it's not suitable for night shots and generally the camera is nothing special, it will disappoint you.
I do not recommend it at all for new games.
Spend a bit more and get something with a better processor, the processor this device uses is the Snapdragon 685, which is good for multi-tasking as I mentioned above, it runs apps just fine, but for games I do not particularly recommend it, especially for new ones, you will have issues.
Now, as for the battery, I don't know where to place it, I would say it's average to good. If you play heavy games, it drains quickly, but if you want it for simple everyday use, it's just fine.
I would not recommend it
After a year of use, the phone is no longer usable, and this has been going on for quite some time now
Apps do not open, it restarts on its own, it is extremely slow even though the storage is not full
It is very affordable, but if I need a new phone after just one year, I will not choose it again
Value for money device, which can comfortably meet the needs of balanced everyday use, giving the impression that you have a much more expensive device in your hands.
Guys... I'm telling you as someone who has owned Redmi phones for many years and I have no words... The phone is excellent, it doesn't lag at all, the fingerprint sensor is super fast. The camera is very good to average, but if you select the 108mp option, it's perfect and clear. As for the software, when I first turned it on, it had MIUI 14, but it immediately updated to HyperOS 1 and then straight from 1 to 2. Fantastic! Regarding storage, I have the 12/128 version. It originally had 8+2 RAM, but I changed it with a setting in the settings. What can I say, well done to Redmi, I hope you get it because it's a good phone and worth the money. I would say get the 128/12 or the 12/256; I don't need much space, so 128 is just fine for me. The screen comes with free Gorilla Glass 3, it's very strong and has many features. Lastly, in the box, you get a free case, free cable, and charger, and it also has MI Turbo Charge. That's all from me, well done to them! (Also, if you use another cable with the same charger, you won't get MI Turbo Charge, just regular fast charging, but it's better to use MI Turbo Charge because it charges faster.)
Everything is perfect, app response speed is immediate, phone sound is loud, it doesn't lag, only the photos are a bit blurry.
Excellent for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a phone.
The previous one was a POCO C40 at the same price. Day and night.
For simple use and for its price, it's top.
A lot of memory, good RAM, decent processor.
*edit Negative, very often the fingerprint sensor doesn't make good contact and it's annoying
I bought it in February, it's now the end of May. For the last 5-6 years, maybe more, I only buy Xiaomi. I have noticed that every time I buy, the quality gets worse. This particular one, from the moment I got it, lags and is slow. It no longer recognizes the fingerprint at all, at first it did. I am forced to restart it often. Once the touch screen froze and nothing worked. I have sent it back and I am waiting for news. Other than that, I have no complaints about the battery, photos, and video. I realize that this particular one is defective so I can't judge the model in general. I will re-evaluate when I have it again and it works properly.
update February 2026
Awful, I am not at all satisfied with the speed. It is very slow at everything.
Good phone for its price, but I'm more satisfied with the Poco. It lags at times, and also the fingerprint unlocking is annoying; you have to press it many times. Also, although it seems to have a good battery, I'm not satisfied
Unfortunately, it was not a satisfactory purchase. On the positive side, there was definitely the NFC, which was the reason I bought it. Also, the large storage space and its speed. I can't evaluate the camera because I don't take many photos. However, it has the following disadvantages. Even if I have the phone to my ear with the microphone close to my mouth, my callers always complain that they can't hear me well, which wasn't the case with my previous phone that was five years old. Also, the touch screen sometimes doesn't respond to touch. For example, it often seems like I skip pressing a number when entering my code. These are very basic things that make using the phone frustrating. I had the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 since 2020 (for €165 back then) and wouldn't have changed it if it had NFC. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this phone for purchase
Very good phone with remarkable battery life. The camera quality is very good. Worth it and more.
Value for money .
One of the worst purchases. The fingerprint function is occasional. The earpiece works occasionally during calls. The call reception antenna is extremely weak. The GPS signal is generally non-existent. If I could give negative stars, I would give it at least 5. I would not buy it again for anything, even if they paid me.
Purchased for a budget phone for an older person with not many demands, the device is flawless, it doesn't lag anywhere, and the extras are welcome (charger in the package, a simple case, fast charging, etc.). I would buy it for myself if I didn't have a device at this moment!
I have it as a second phone and I can say that for its price category and with an AMOLED screen (which I consider a primary criterion) it is a decent phone. Beautiful and of quality construction. I have it in green color and it really looks more expensive as those who have seen it agree. Maybe a little bulkier than I would like but not ... a brick. In the package, the charger and the case are included while the phone has a pre-installed ultra-thin tempered glass, please. The screen, as expected (as AMOLED), has vibrant colors. Camera and battery life are satisfactory (for the price of the device, of course). The only negative I found from the first moment using the pre-installed MIUI 14 is generally a slight (but not annoying) lag when opening apps and with general use. Reading comments about upgrading to HyperOS, I realized that opinions differ on whether this improves or not. In the end, I did the upgrade and found for myself that the lag worsened to a quite annoying level and at the same time, battery autonomy decreased. I also tried a hard reset but the situation did not improve. Maybe this happens in the simple version 6/128 that I own which cannot run the heavy and bloated software well. To not bore you, I experimented with debloat and managed to lighten HyperOS to the point where the lag is less than ever. My advice to the prospective or new owner is to stay on MIUI 14 by disabling automatic updates.
In conclusion, it is a phone that is worth its money in any case, just because of its software it doesn't get the 5th star. I hope I helped.
I had the Redmi 11 note and it was pretty good. this one feels very sluggish. I wish I had gotten a better version:(
I got it as a gift for my mother. Fantastic. Battery is the best of the best, fast, good cameras, good processor (not anything crazy), fantastic colors, perfect selfie and very nice color and design. But all this for its price
The phone is crap.
It keeps losing signal.
It's slow.
Every update they release makes it worse.
For my father, who wants the basics and to pay bills and the like, it's just fine, a value for money phone! He learned it relatively quickly.
Classically, Xiaomi phones have a weak camera for this price, but okay.
Okay, a good phone, not for much more. The basics that I personally wanted it has, i.e., NFC, Snapdragon, and a good screen. In terms of speed, nothing special. I mean, the Redmi Note 9 Pro that I had, although almost 5 years older, was faster. On the plus side, there is also the large storage space. Also, the fingerprint sensor on the screen has a slow response and often doesn’t work at all.
VFM mobile for daily light use of social media and calls. It doesn't lag, nice clear and bright screen, satisfactory camera. If you don't compare it with any Samsung S (even an older one like the 7) it is more than enough for someone who doesn't want to spend money on a phone but just wants to do the basics and essentials. If you compare it with the Redmi9 you will be functionally satisfied, I just don't know how durable it is compared to that (drops etc.)
We got it as a gift in 8GB/256GB (the 9 with half the specs worked just as well of course and it's a bit sad to see the same or lower phones at the prices that exist). Anyway, for €140 (39A) it's super. Basic / non-demanding users in this price range will make a very good purchase.
it's a great device, it depends on the use that each person wants to make, but for my use, it's just right. generally, xiaomi is an excellent company, well done!!!
As soon as it received the first system update, it started to lag or have slow response. The problem was not fixed with the next update. It's not the best purchase I've made
Purchased 3 months ago It's value for money, I don't play games but for everything else it does the job decently
After the initial shock, fortunately, everything is fine.
The shock was with the dual sim.
It does not have the elongated slot but a smaller one with slots for both front and back at the same time, half of what it was before!
I thought it could only hold one sim.
After the initial shock, I found out that it is indeed dual sim, but I think it is: either dual sim or sim + memory card, meaning you cannot have 2 sims + memory card at the same time.
It is just right for the specifications of an economical smartphone; it performs the same functions as all smart phones for basic use, although sometimes you might see a lag while handling it, but other than that, it is worth the money
Very good for its price and fast with a good battery. Super for the money. Good sound, good camera, and nice design. Very good processor.
A good and affordable smartphone. It does everything very well and is worth it. If there are no special requirements from the user, then I recommend it.

It is very affordable, but if I need a new phone after just one year, I will not choose it again
