The WiFi Extender by Pix-Link emits a signal at one frequency, 2.4Ghz, which provides lower speeds compared to those that emit at 2 (dual) or 3 (tri band) frequencies. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common and has a long range. The repeater can provide up to 150Mbps in total to the devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed that such a repeater of this generation (Wi-Fi 4) can provide to a device is closer to 25Mbps. Indicatively, a 4K high-resolution movie requires about 25Mbps. The speed that each connected device will have depends on the distance, obstacles, the number of other devices connected, the number of other networks in the same area, etc. It is Wi-Fi 4 generation, an older generation recommended for use with few devices and for applications that do not require high speeds. The connection via ethernet cable offers a speed of 100Mbps, which is sufficient to meet all needs, e.g. for a 4K high-definition movie, about 25Mbps is required.
