TRICOLOR PEPPER VIETNAM (Whole Seeds)
The tricolor pepper is a blend of three different types of pepper, offering a wide range of flavors and aromas:
- White Pepper: Comes from the same fruit as red and black pepper, with a milder taste and a gentle aroma.
- Black Pepper: Has a strong, spicy flavor and is widely used in international cuisine.
- Red Pepper: Has a rich, sweet flavor with slightly spicy notes, suitable for dishes that require intense flavor.
The tricolor pepper offers an interesting combination of flavors that can be used in sauces, marinades, meats, fish, and vegetable dishes. Vietnam is the largest producer of pepper, offering a mix of three different peppers.
It is recommended to grind it in a mill before serving or to use the whole seeds. It is best to add the pepper towards the end of cooking to retain its flavor.
PROPER STORAGE METHOD: Store in a tightly sealed glass container, in a dark, dry, and cool place. Whole peppercorns keep better than ground pepper, which loses its flavor after six months.
HEALTH BENEFITS: Pepper has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can assist in the digestion of proteins and the breakdown of fat cells. It contains vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin A, C, B6, iron, and potassium.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PEPPER AND PAPRIKA: Peppers come from two different plants. Pepper (piper) originates from South Asia, while paprika is the dried product of the bell pepper (Capsicum annuum) which comes from Central America.
