Techniques for using the inhalation chamber:

• Deep inhalation technique (for children over 8 years old):
  • The child's lips fit snugly around the mouthpiece.
  • Shake the inhaler well.
  • Insert the inhaler into the opening at the end of the inhalation chamber.
  • Press the inhaler once.
  • The child takes a deep, prolonged inhalation, holds their breath for about 5 seconds, and then exhales.
• Four-breath technique (for children aged 3-8 years, as well as during an asthma exacerbation regardless of age):
  • Steps 1-4 are the same as the previous technique, but followed by 4 normal inhalations and exhalations into the inhalation chamber.
• For children under 3 years old using an inhalation chamber with a mask:
  • Fit the mask on your child's face for a good seal around the nose and mouth.
  • Shake the inhaler well.
  • Insert the inhaler into the opening at the end of the inhalation chamber.
  • Press the inhaler once.
  • Let your child take 5 slow breaths. If it is a crying infant, count slowly to 10.
