I have also tried the following drinks so far: Fix, Mythos, and Corona Extra beers, as well as other brands. Gordon's Space, Smirnoff Ice, red wine from various producers. Ouzo from Plomari and Mytilene, Absolut and Stolichnaya vodka. Sierra's silver tequila. Olmeca Blanco & Olmeca Reposado tequilas. And 2 liqueurs: Olmeca Dark Chocolate & Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire.
The Haig Gold Label is a whiskey that is not tasteless. But it has a truly awful taste. When I tried it at my sister's house, I felt like spitting it out.
Its aroma, however, is somewhat attractive. It reminded me somewhat of the smell of Teacher's Highland Cream when I smelled it from the bottle, opening it.
Clearly, there are cheaper whiskeys than Haig Gold Label. Which have a better taste. Like Teacher's Highland Cream. And even very humble whiskeys. Like Cutty Sark and VAT 69.
Well, I tasted and smelled this whiskey very carefully. Straight, without ice or water.
I don't hide that I am generally a fan of American whiskey. Which is significantly cheaper than Scottish single malts. And tastewise, superior to all blended Scottish whiskeys.
The bottle of Haig Gold Label is short, thick, opaque, and dark. It is by far the ugliest liquor bottle I have seen so far. It certainly doesn't impress the consumer. And it doesn't make you want to buy it.
Haig Gold Label has a screw cap and a safety valve. And I prefer both of these. Because the screw cap is more durable over time compared to the simple cork. And the safety valve allows for more measured and precise pouring.
In conclusion, Haig Gold Label is an expensive whiskey for the poor taste it offers. It certainly cannot compete with many cheaper or similarly priced whiskeys.
The decision to purchase is yours.
Positives:
• It is perhaps the oldest distillery in Scotland.
• It has a screw cap and a safety valve.
Negatives:
• Its taste is very unpleasant.
• Its price is high for its overall low quality.

Το Haig Gold Label, είναι ένα ουίσκι όχι άγευστο. Αλλά με, ουσιαστικά, απαίσια, γεύση. Όταν το δοκίμασα, στο σπίτι της αδερφής μου. Μου ήρθε να το φτύσω.
Το άρωμά του, εντούτοις, είναι κάπως ελκυστικό. Μου θύμισε, κάπως, τη μυρωδιά του, Teacher’s Highland Cream. Όταν το μύρισα από το μπουκάλι, ανοίγοντάς το.

My favorite whiskey! I don't put anything next to it! And I'm telling you this, even though I drink alcohol 1-2 times a year. No matter what I drink, I have it straight, no ice, no coke, no other nonsense. I never liked whiskey. But this one has a unique taste and nothing to do with the others. It's Haig and the whiskey! And a little history. Haig is the oldest widely produced whiskey in the world! Its taste remains unchanged if you compare it to a Haig from the 60s (there is a video by Ralfy), because its grains come from the exact same fields in Scotland, unlike other widely produced whiskeys like the well-known Johnnie Walker, where their grains come from all over the world!

Guys, it's really amazing. This one is the best-tasting whiskey in its category. It's worth every euro. Full in flavor, sweet with a nice sensation. Now I only buy this one in an economical way. Well, maybe Teacher's as an alternative. None of the others, not even close.

I can't understand why people drink it and why it's popular. Probably because we're not a country that appreciates whiskey in general. This particular one has a terrible taste, alcohol with no aroma and no pleasant sensation. Probably for those who drink whiskey with coke

It is quite difficult to drink. It's like drinking pure alcohol. Generally, I like heavy whiskies but this is not even whisky... I don't believe the taste is like that just because it's spicy as some say. I have had spicy whiskies before but it wasn't like this. I didn't like it and I definitely wouldn't buy it again. As I have said, at such a price, only Bushmills.

Full flavor towards spicy and consistent quality. For my personal taste, one of the top in its price range and what I prefer in this category.

Unique first in its category surpasses all others. Although its price has increased as before 10 years you could find it at 12-13 € and not advertised, I prefer it.

Ouzo from Plomari and Mytilene, Absolut and Stolichnaya vodka. Sierra's silver tequila. Olmeca Blanco & Olmeca Reposado tequilas. And 2 liqueurs: Olmeca Dark Chocolate & Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire.
The Haig Gold Label is a whiskey that is not tasteless. But it has a truly awful taste. When I tried it at my sister's house, I felt like spitting it out.
Its aroma, however, is somewhat attractive. It reminded me somewhat of the smell of Teacher's Highland Cream when I smelled it from the bottle, opening it.
Clearly, there are cheaper whiskeys than Haig Gold Label. Which have a better taste. Like Teacher's Highland Cream. And even very humble whiskeys. Like Cutty Sark and VAT 69.
Well, I tasted and smelled this whiskey very carefully. Straight, without ice or water.
I don't hide that I am generally a fan of American whiskey. Which is significantly cheaper than Scottish single malts. And tastewise, superior to all blended Scottish whiskeys.
The bottle of Haig Gold Label is short, thick, opaque, and dark. It is by far the ugliest liquor bottle I have seen so far. It certainly doesn't impress the consumer. And it doesn't make you want to buy it.
Haig Gold Label has a screw cap and a safety valve. And I prefer both of these. Because the screw cap is more durable over time compared to the simple cork. And the safety valve allows for more measured and precise pouring.
In conclusion, Haig Gold Label is an expensive whiskey for the poor taste it offers. It certainly cannot compete with many cheaper or similarly priced whiskeys.
The decision to purchase is yours.

Το Haig Gold Label, είναι ένα ουίσκι όχι άγευστο. Αλλά με, ουσιαστικά, απαίσια, γεύση. Όταν το δοκίμασα, στο σπίτι της αδερφής μου. Μου ήρθε να το φτύσω.
Το άρωμά του, εντούτοις, είναι κάπως ελκυστικό. Μου θύμισε, κάπως, τη μυρωδιά του, Teacher’s Highland Cream. Όταν το μύρισα από το μπουκάλι, ανοίγοντάς το.

My favorite whiskey! I don't put anything next to it! And I'm telling you this, even though I drink alcohol 1-2 times a year. No matter what I drink, I have it straight, no ice, no coke, no other nonsense. I never liked whiskey. But this one has a unique taste and nothing to do with the others. It's Haig and the whiskey! And a little history. Haig is the oldest widely produced whiskey in the world! Its taste remains unchanged if you compare it to a Haig from the 60s (there is a video by Ralfy), because its grains come from the exact same fields in Scotland, unlike other widely produced whiskeys like the well-known Johnnie Walker, where their grains come from all over the world!

Guys, it's really amazing. This one is the best-tasting whiskey in its category. It's worth every euro. Full in flavor, sweet with a nice sensation. Now I only buy this one in an economical way. Well, maybe Teacher's as an alternative. None of the others, not even close.

I can't understand why people drink it and why it's popular. Probably because we're not a country that appreciates whiskey in general. This particular one has a terrible taste, alcohol with no aroma and no pleasant sensation. Probably for those who drink whiskey with coke

It is quite difficult to drink. It's like drinking pure alcohol. Generally, I like heavy whiskies but this is not even whisky... I don't believe the taste is like that just because it's spicy as some say. I have had spicy whiskies before but it wasn't like this. I didn't like it and I definitely wouldn't buy it again. As I have said, at such a price, only Bushmills.

Full flavor towards spicy and consistent quality. For my personal taste, one of the top in its price range and what I prefer in this category.

Unique first in its category surpasses all others. Although its price has increased as before 10 years you could find it at 12-13 € and not advertised, I prefer it.
