All good, 6 months + later, it works well, goes down slowly and stays in place. It's not luxurious, but it's practical and VFM.
Update: a year later it broke at one point, but we also have a 2-meter tall person at home, 110 kilos. So, it doesn't hold too much weight, keep that in mind.

Now for the quality and durability, time will tell!

It does its job, but the Soft Close is not what you might expect. I was expecting it to close slowly on its own, but you just have to push it down by hand because otherwise, it will stay half open. The base and generally the whole construction are made of plastic, and as I was tightening it until it wouldn't move, I heard a crack.

The lid was purchased 2 months ago because it was the dimensions we wanted and it also had a soft close mechanism. There are no installation instructions, but you will figure out how to do it in a few minutes. The plastic is of very good quality and looks sturdy. For its price of 13.9 euros, it is exactly what was needed.

Good quality, just be careful how you place it, there are no instructions and I am attaching photos that will help.

Very nice lid, visually, and quality. It has a button that easily releases the lid from the base. Soft close.
