    Provides long-lasting protection and reduces friction (+1400c) with much less risk of attracting dirt compared to copper. +(1000c) is just right for the brakes, not for the pins, although some people use it, which is wrong. We apply it behind the brake pads to prevent squeaking, not on moving parts as it is not a lubricant; over time it hardens. It protects metals from rust so they don't stick together; we also apply it to the spot where the wheel will touch
