The Staedtler Lumocolor permanent marker writes on overhead projector transparencies and almost all surfaces, while its round tip produces a 0.6 mm line. DRY SAFE ink can be left uncapped for several days without drying out, in accordance with ISO 554. It is waterproof, quick-drying, smudge-resistant and suitable for left-handed users.

The ink is almost odourless, and the barrel and cap are made of PP. The cap has a clip, while automatic pressure equalisation helps prevent ink leakage during air travel. The marker is refillable and has a writing length of 1,700 m.
