The AXAGON PCEM2-S adapter connects an NVMe M.2 SSD to a desktop computer via a PCI-Express slot, for systems without an available M.2 slot. It supports single-sided and double-sided M.2 drives with an M or B+M key, with no capacity limit. The aluminum heatsink, thermal pads and copper-plated ventilation holes help dissipate heat.
The 4-lane PCI-Express 3.0 connection offers a theoretical transfer rate of up to 8 GB/s in both directions. The red LED stays lit when connected to the computer and flashes during data transfers. The adapter supports booting from the connected SSD and offers Plug and Play operation without driver installation.
