The famous rivalry between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus comes to the table with the new character pack Rivals Panels: Spider-Man Vs. Doctor Octopus! Peter Parker is the amazing Spider-Man, a hero who gained incredible superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. He swings through the streets of New York with his webs and climbs walls to arrive at the point of crisis, just in time to thwart the plans of his nefarious enemy: Doctor Otto Octavius!
The man now known as Doctor Octopus was once a brilliant researcher, a top graduate from M.I.T. One accident during the handling of radioactive materials fused metallic tentacle-like attachments to his body and ruined his mind, transforming him into a twisted criminal mastermind and archenemy of Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus's attempts to defeat Spider-Man led him to form the Sinister Six, a group dedicated to the destruction of the hero.
