Warning – to celebrate 25 years of misfortune and misery unleashed on generations of children, Lemony Snicket's publishers have taken the risk of creating brand new collectible editions of the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series, illustrated by the talented Emily Gravett. The desire to own a copy is indeed great…
Dear reader,
You still have time to choose another internationally best-selling series to read. But if you insist on discovering the unpleasant adventures of the Baudelaire orphans, then proceed with caution…
Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are smart children. They are charming, inventive, and have beautiful features. Unfortunately, they are extremely unlucky.
In "The Reptile Room," the siblings undergo a car accident, a terrible smell, a deadly snake, a long knife, a reading lamp made of brass, and the reappearance of a person they hoped they would never see again.
In the tradition of great storytellers, from Dickens to Dahl, comes an extremely dark comedy that is both literary and irreverent, humorous and well-crafted. Despite their horrific content, the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series has sold 60 million copies worldwide and has been adapted into a Hollywood movie starring Jim Carrey. And in the future, things are expected to get much worse, thanks to the upcoming Netflix series directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. You have been warned.
Are you unlucky enough to own all 13 adventures?
