Perhaps the most aromatic Greek spirit. It is produced from the now Greek, reddish grape variety Muscat Hamburg, which is cultivated almost exclusively in Thessaly.
Bright in appearance, with an intense aromatic nose featuring fruity aromas of citrus fruits such as bergamot and bitter orange, white-fleshed fruits such as peach jam and dried apricot, floral aromas of rose, and herbal hints of mint.
On the palate, it is characterized by soft alcohol, a creamy body, flavors of candied kumquat, dried apricot, and mint. Long elegant finish of rose.
Its explosive character makes it ideal for consumption without food accompaniment but also as a base drink in premium cocktails. It pairs beautifully with aromatic, spicy desserts.
