The ZiL-131 is a Soviet/Russian off-road truck, with the first prototypes appearing in the early 1960s. Serial production lasted from 1966 to 2002 and was concentrated at the ZiL factory in Moscow. It was developed as a complement and successor to the ZiL-157 vehicle. Compared to its predecessor, it mainly received an engine that produced much greater maximum power, which translates into significantly better performance and load capacity.
