Description

MK1 Mahalo Kahiko soprano ukulele, total length 52 cm. Made from sengon wood on the front, back, and finish, with a jabon wood neck and mahogany fingerboard. Scale 346mm with 12 brass frets, fingerboard width 3.7 cm, and vintage nickel electric guitar tuners. The body length is 24.3 cm, width 16.3 cm, and height 5.8 cm. The instrument's weight is 0.9 kg. The set includes the ukulele, a case, and three picks.

It has a transparent/natural caramel color with a matte finish. The Mahalo Kahiko Ukulele series represents the best quality/value choice.

Kahiko is the traditional form of Hawaiian hula dance. The designers at Mahalo had the vision to recreate and develop an instrument similar to the traditional Hawaiian ukulele with excellent sound qualities. Inspired by the ancient Kahiko festival, the Mahalo Kahiko ukulele was created.

For the proper use of the instrument, it is necessary to use a digital or mechanical tuner for tuning, as tuning "by ear" or by feel can lead to damage to the instrument, detachment of the strings, breaking of the neck, strings, etc.

In the first tunings, nylon strings, both on classical guitars and on ukuleles, are more prone to detuning. Tuning stabilizes over time, which is a natural characteristic of the aforementioned strings.
