The STEM First Steps Kit Tools and Construction is an introductory building set for children aged 3 years and up. With this set, children learn how to use tools and build their own workbench. Ty and Karlie, the young engineers featured in the First Steps kits, join in to teach kids how to use hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches, as well as the mechanical principles behind these tools.
The included tools are large, comfortable for little hands, and lightweight, ensuring safety during use. In addition to the workbench, children can create five other models using the included modular pieces, such as a race car, an airplane, a house, scissors, and a toolbox for transporting tools.
Building models helps develop fine motor skills, engineering abilities, spatial skills, and logical reasoning skills. The pieces in the kit are compatible with pieces from other Thames and Kosmos First Steps engineering kits. The set includes 47 pieces, 6 models, and an instruction manual. Made from plastic and complies with the EN71 and ASTM regulatory guidelines.
Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years old, contains small parts. Adult supervision is recommended during play. Read the instructions before use, follow them, and keep them for reference.
