NAS by Synology. It is in Tower form and is mainly intended for home use. NAS devices host hard drives, aiding in large-scale data storage with security and connect directly to the Router. They create a personal cloud and make files accessible from any device you own without worrying about the storage space of each device. They emphasize backup creation, which is done automatically through settings, and entertainment as they can play content on any devices that have access to them and from anywhere.

This particular model consists of the Intel Xeon D-1541 processor with 8GB DDR4 RAM. It also incorporates additional ports such as 2 Ethernet ports. The additional Ethernet ports are mainly used for higher transfer speeds or simple redundancy. It does not come with built-in hard drives, which means you will need to add your own. It supports up to 12 HDD, SSD drive units.

It supports RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 6, Basic, F1, JBOD. RAID 0 is used solely for speed purposes as it adds the speed of all the drives, and not for backup. If even 1 drive fails, all data is lost. RAID 1 is the mirroring of one drive to another. Whatever is written to one drive is automatically written to the other. Also, if one drive fails, the system will continue to operate normally, you will just need to add a new drive to start the process of copying the healthy drive to the new one. JBOD pertains to Apple systems. If 2 or more drives are used, the configured space will be added. If one drive fails, it is possible to recover the remaining data from the other drives. RAID 5 requires at least 3 drives to be created. If one of the 3 fails, your data will not be lost. RAID 6 requires at least 4 drives and the system will continue to operate even if 2 drives fail.
