Waterproof solar water heater cover 100x150cm Quality Extreme 150 is made from high-durability PVC in silver color to reflect the sun and prevent the boiler from overheating.

It protects from the sun in summer and from frost in winter. It features sewn loops through which you can pass a rope to tie the cover onto the collector.

In case you are away from home for a long period and therefore not using the solar water heater, you must cover the collectors of your system. If the absence is prolonged and the collector surface is not covered (especially during the summer months), then at best, upon your return, the closed circuit will need to be vented and thermal fluid added.

This happens because the accumulated water in the boiler during the summer months raises the temperature to 80ºC (very close to the boiling point). If you have not neglected the regular maintenance of your solar system, the safety valve (of the boiler) will be activated, and a quantity of water will be released to prevent the boiler from "bursting".

If the safety valve is not activated (due to poor maintenance or lack of maintenance), the "bursting" of the boiler is inevitable.

In winter, the use of a cover is also deemed necessary in the case of low temperatures, hail, and snowfall, especially if your solar system is an open circuit.
