The age of dinosaurs is here! In Chomp, the goal is to form herds of dinosaurs and ensure they are all well-fed. Both herbivores and carnivores need food sources, but if the carnivores are not properly fed, they won't hesitate to devour a herbivore to fill their bellies!
The gameplay involves double rows of target tiles and dinosaur tiles, and each round players choose a tile to add to their own layout. The target tiles remain aside for evaluation at the end of the game, and the dinosaur tiles are placed in front of each player. The dinosaur tiles include three sizes of herbivores and carnivores. Each tile must overlap previous ones, either on a quarter, half, or whole tile, ensuring that the covered dinosaurs are completely hidden.
Neighboring dinosaurs of the same species form herds, which will eat together if connected to a unique food source - or die together if unfed, near a tar source, or next to an unfed carnivore!
At the end of the game, each living and well-fed dinosaur scores 1-3 points depending on its size, and the player with the highest score wins.
