The Hartmann Hydrocleanadvance adhesive dressing is intended for moist therapy of chronic and poorly healing wounds, particularly those with a reduced tendency to heal. It is used during the cleansing and granulation phases, as well as for infected wounds and to reactivate stalled healing processes.

The polyacrylate hydroactive dressing contains PHMB polyhexanide and works by drainage and absorption. It supplies Ringer’s solution to the wound for up to three days while continuously rinsing it and absorbing exudate. The antimicrobial prophylactic agent it contains inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs).
