It is very good. I have two since 2015 and they have not had any damage, but I believe that the price is a little steep. If you want a controller for OC, it is not worth it; you can get the PS4 one for less money.

I have owned it since 2010. I use it on PC now. It is a very good controller, but for this day and age it is not worth €45; better get a DualShock 4, its design is more ergonomic. As for build quality, it is very light and excessively plastic. I do not recommend it unless you have been playing with controllers since the PS2 era; only then would I recommend it to you. Now it is better to get a DualShock 4, it works wired on the PS3, and for PC I would recommend the Xbox One controller.

I have had the controller since 2008 when I bought the console as well. I don't believe there is a better controller than this one. We're talking about endless hours of gaming for ten years now, and it is still going strong. It has fallen to the ground countless times, accidentally or on purpose (out of frustration). There are no words. The only bad thing is its price, which is more expensive even than the PS4.

For competitive gaming (online racing or fighting), there are no better sticks on the controller. Excellent response in everything and it lasts a long time if you take care of it!

It is good but not at all like the first ones that came out. I mean, I have one from the device it came with and there is a difference. On this one the plastic feels cheap, (Sony, take a look at your quality, let’s not just pay for the brand!). I also bought an imitation one and they are almost no different, only that it has harder buttons. I bought that one for €20 and this one for €64, I mean, ridiculous! The PS4 one is cheaper.

Very good, I've had it for 4 years, it has fallen down a few times, but now the lever we use to move the characters has gotten stuck and I can't control it. Overall, it's very good, but the price is a bit high.

Well, I’ve had it for three years now and although it has taken a beating, I can say that it held up very well. However, two months ago, after it hadn’t been used for 3 months and I had kept it in a drawer, when I took it out to play with some friends, the L1 wasn’t working, as well as the arrow buttons. Despite that, though, I’m giving it four stars only because of the price. I would recommend getting the upgraded Spartan controller, not only because of the price but also because of the design, since the Spartan is much more comfortable.

After 4 years of experience with it, I can say that it holds up quite well. But after a while the buttons start to break and don't respond when you press them. Personally, my PS button broke, which is the most important button on the controller, so I am forced to buy another one. Otherwise, very light and easy to use.

Very good gamepad with a suitable size for you... it fills the hand. I like it more than the 4, durable and pleasant with a very long battery life

Guys, the controller is fantastic! Amazing response in all games and over long distances (I had a distance of 8 meters from the PS3 and it was like you were wired or right next to it) and in FPS games. As for durability, I’ve had it for 7 years and it has fallen countless times and nothing has happened to it. The 4 stars are because its price is still a bit steep even after the release of the PS4. Overall, I highly recommend it!!!

It really is the most durable gamepad Sony has released on the market and is an excellent solution in terms of its price, both for PS3 gamers and for PC gamers, as it can also be used on a PC with the appropriate software.

I give it 3 stars and not 4 because:

I wouldn’t give it 5 because of the price, and I wouldn’t give it 4 because of its durability and its hypersensitivity and the competition. The PS1 and PS2 controllers are even more durable! The PS4 controller is even better! So I can’t give it 4 :P Also, its triggers take quite a bit of getting used to. Even in terms of their function, they are super, super sensitive.

Nevertheless, it is the best controller of the era (apart from the PS4 one), which I have used for every game with a controller on PC (emulators for every console + games that require an XBOX controller. Simply, now I got a PS4 one and I stick with that, it’s even better!
If you need it, get it, you won’t lose for any reason :-)

4 stars because its price is high even after so many years of the PS3 console's release, even after the release of the new PS4 console. When SONY will lower the prices of peripherals is a fair question... The controller as a device is simply amazing. Immediate response and responsiveness, even in games with absolute chaos unfolding!!! It is also very durable against impacts... Even the button for Hard Reset is an excellent addition, since the device many times tends to freeze, not recognize Bluetooth, or "lose" it after charging... Unfortunately it is not resistant to liquids that may accidentally spill on it... My second one, unfortunately, was destroyed by a glass of Coca-Cola...
