Super easy, measurement in just 1 second, accuracy (with basic conditions, but it couldn't be otherwise) similar to a classic axillary thermometer. Once you understand how it works, it frees you up. Perfect for babies. I give it 4 because 5 would be perfect.

I have had it for years and having read the many negative reviews, I can say the following.
Its measurements are the same as an old mercury thermometer, as long as you follow the instructions, 1-3cm from the forehead and wipe yourself if you are sweaty.
So, regarding the negative reviews about the measurements, I don't know what to say, but about the battery that almost everyone mentions, yes!
Every time I needed it, it always asked me to change the battery. And not only that, but it had to be a CR2032 with a screwed cap. So you have to look for a battery, and screw/unscrew. As if it couldn't take AAA alkaline or rechargeable batteries and have the cap open with the classic 'click-clack' mechanism.
For the Omron name and for something that becomes impractical in a time of need, I cannot recommend it.

For me, it is a 5-star but I gave it 4 because I have some reservations due to the many negative reviews. Until I carefully read the instructions, it frustrated me, but then it worked perfectly. It requires precision (in the center of the forehead and 1-3 cm distance) and gives the same result as an armpit thermometer. I noticed that before and after use, the head cover must be put on. If it remains uncovered, the temperature is not accurate. It is affected by how long you hold it in your hand. I will come back for any mishaps.

For a while, the measurements were + - 1 degree up and down. Now it shows whatever it wants. An additional downside is that the battery runs out so quickly that you don't even realize it. Definitely a little better than others I have bought, but it's not worth the money and the name it has in any case.

It is unacceptable for a thermometer to show you 5 different temperatures within 30 seconds and with a huge difference, for example, from 38.4 to 36.6 degrees Celsius, the measurement distance was always the same, 1-3 cm. FAR AWAY!!!

It doesn't measure correctly. The child constantly has a fever of 38+ when the mercury shows 36.4. I regret the money I spent. I bought it from a pharmacy for 55€. The pharmacist recommended it to me as the best on the market. I didn't do any research beforehand because I needed it immediately as the baby was in the hospital. In the end, it's garbage

For garbage, it's a waste of money! It measures whatever it wants and it's also extremely expensive, a thousand times the digital one I have.

I have owned this product for about 7-8 years. In general, it is not worth its price. The battery dies very quickly, especially if you use it frequently (with 2 kids and winter, someone can understand). It has a very fast measurement but not so accurate. You can take 5 consecutive measurements and get different results up to 1 degree. I do not generally recommend it for its price.

The thermometer is terrible.
Its measurements are never the same. It has a deviation of at least 1 to 2 degrees.
So, I called Omron's service and a gentleman asked me if they explained to me how unique this thermometer is from the point of purchase. Meaning that it is affected by the slightest thing.
I don't often write reviews on Scroutz, but this one is to protect people from a horrible product that I wouldn't even take for free... such a waste of the 50€ I spent on it.

If you want to waste your money, buy it. The worst thing I have ever bought. Its measurements are all over the place. Within a minute, it shows different measurements with a difference of 2-3 degrees. It gets stuck for no reason and shows an error. Also, the device is a battery eater. Every 2 to 3 months, it needs a new battery, even if you don't use it. I hope I helped.

Unacceptable! First of all, the temperatures are different from each other! Real examples after many tests: The patient has 37.8 (on 2 armpit thermometers) and the Omron measured 39.9, 39.5, 38.9, 39.1. Of course, as other users mentioned, within 1 minute on the same forehead it gives 36.8, 37.1, 36.2. I should note that I am a doctor and of course I followed the instructions to the letter, which require us to use it under strictly unaffected conditions... If you buy it (and it is very expensive) you will regret your money like me!!! I have already sent an email to the representative asking for repair or replacement...

Fast but not completely accurate in its measurements. It needs to be in the same room as the patient beforehand, to "acclimate" to the room temperature, otherwise it may show you 3 different temperatures in 30 seconds. This is a problem that cannot be solved by the user.

Good and reliable indeed, but not if you're sweaty... Suspecting sweat on the forehead... we lost the body, my friend! To have 39.1 and show 36.8, repeatedly... Damn it! If I find a solution, I will come back...

Very good product. In 1 second the measurement is taken and compared to a mercury thermometer, there is almost no deviation. Easy measurement with the press of a button and very good construction. Attention should be paid to the environment where the measurement will take place, the device should be left for at least 5 minutes to avoid incorrect measurement due to room temperature difference!
