In SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, a board game for 1–4 players, you lead a scientific organization with the mission of searching for signs of life beyond planet Earth. The game draws inspiration from current or emerging technologies and space exploration efforts.

Players will explore nearby planets and their moons, launching spacecraft from Earth while taking advantage of constantly changing planetary positions. You must decide whether to land on the surface to collect valuable samples or remain in orbit for broader research.

Additionally, by directing your telescopes to observe distant star systems, you can detect traces of alien signals or raw exoplanets and gather promising data for examination and study back home.

After returning to Earth, you can invest in upgrading your equipment to analyze incoming data more effectively, enhance your telescope's signal capacity, or increase your resource supply—all with the aim of expanding the scope of your search that could lead to a discovery of extraterrestrial life.
