Grand Marnier was created in 1880 from 51% cognac and Caribbean Citrus Bigaradia oranges and matures in oak barrels. The cognac used for its preparation comes from vineyards of a single grape variety, Ugni Blanc. It has aromas of vanilla and caramel, and on the palate, it has notes of bitter orange and hazelnut and caramel.
