The Dimplex Unity freestanding electric fireplace combines heating with an Optiflame 3D flame effect, which can operate independently of the heating. The flames feature three colour options, three brightness levels and three speed settings, while the LED-lit logs flicker on a metal grate. The Dimplex XHD 23” firebox has three brightness levels and easily removable safety glass.

The heating can be controlled digitally or manually, with a thermostat adjustable from 17–26°C and coverage of up to 20 m². The unit is operated using the touchscreen on top or the remote control. The timer automatically switches the unit off, while the thermal cut-out shuts it down in case of overheating. The MDF construction features adaptive heating start-up mode.
