Egyptian archaeology, commonly known to the general public as "Egyptology," captivates and intrigues the curious reader, exuding the grandeur of an ancient and prominent civilization that will continue to be a field of study and research for many more generations.
The “Topography of Ancient Egypt” serves as a summary presentation of the main monuments of Upper and Lower Egypt from the Old Kingdom period of the Nile country until the late Middle Ages. The inspiration for creating this book arose from the rich archaeological data readily accessible within their homeland, in the northeastern part of the African continent, aiming to inform and educate the reading audience from any knowledge background and status.
The interactive nature of the text allows for seamless and complete understanding of the general and specific features of the monuments presented in its content, as it encompasses the fundamental historical, archaeological, and architectural information related to them. Furthermore, it includes a detailed description of each deity associated with these specific locations and their individual characteristics, as well as references to burial practices, religious and cosmological beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, Egyptian Mythology, and distinct cultural symbols.
