Review this product
  • It easily powers 4 indoor-type Imou cameras with PoE+ (.at/.af) support and can simultaneously receive PoE In from a PoE++ (.bt) injector. The signal is effectively extended over long distances without interruptions in image transmission.

What is different about this specialized switch: Like the Conexpro GNT-69P51G6 and Tenda TEG1105PD, Ubiquiti USW Flex Mini, it is not powered from 220V via a transformer. Instead, it draws power from the Ethernet Power-In input, which must come from another compatible POE switch or POE injector. This capability is necessary when there is no access to a 220V outlet at the place where the TP-LINK TL-SG1005P-PD will be installed (e.g. an outdoor area that is not completely dry, or a wall in a room that does not have an outlet, or if you do not want to squeeze in yet another cable).

The TP-LINK TL-SG1005P-PD has 4 POE+ outputs, and the power it can provide to them depends on the power it receives from the POE In input.

For example, in my case, the main switch of my network is the SG1005P (POE out). I bought this one to add more than one network outlet in 2 places where 230V power was not available. If 220V outlets were available, I would use a common switch.
