Auchentoshan Three Wood is a golden-coloured Scottish Single Malt whisky. It is initially matured in American bourbon casks, then in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks, and finally in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.
The aroma reveals blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum, raisin, dark chocolate and dried figs. The taste is smooth and fruity, with notes of sherry, fruit, hazelnut, cinnamon, lemon, butterscotch and nutmeg. The finish is sweet, with oak tones and a lingering quality. It pairs well with chocolate, cheeses and nuts.
