The Proteas Filter countertop water cooler connects directly to the water supply and can be connected to water filters. It produces up to 2 L of cold water and 5 L of hot water, while the cold water tank has a capacity of 3.6 L. The tank is made of stainless steel.

It offers four temperature options: hot and cold water, hot water and room-temperature water, cold water and room-temperature water, or room-temperature water only. In this last mode, it can operate without electricity. The operating temperature is 4–15 °C for cold water and 52–95 °C for hot water.
