The compact optical systems Klevtsov-Cassegrain feature a meniscus design that includes a primary and secondary mirror, as well as a small corrective lens to fold the telescope's focal length into a relatively small size. They are ideal for observing double stars, planets, or surface details on the Moon. They also provide the capability for terrestrial observation.
The Virtuoso GTI mount guarantees smooth movement towards selected objects and guides the telescope. It creates its own WLAN, allowing connection to a smartphone via the free SynScan app for iOS and Android.
Other features:
- Freedom-Find ™ dual encoder: Allows manual movement without losing stored position information.
- The desktop mount has a 3/8" photographic thread on the bottom for tripod connection.
- The telescope tube connects via a Vixen dovetail rail.
Special features of the SynScan app:
- Free software for iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Database: Total of 10,000 objects.
- Alignment methods: One-star, three-star, and other alignment options.
- Additional features: Celestial object recognition, remote control via the internet, increased targeting accuracy.
The mount can be placed on a tabletop tripod or on the supplied tripod with extendable legs, allowing the telescope to be adjusted according to the observing location.
