In the study by Tiplica G.S. et al., published in 2018 in the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (JEADV), the researchers conducted a randomized controlled trial. They found that regular use of an emollient can improve the symptoms of atopic dermatitis in children.² Another study by Tiplica G.S. et al., published in 2017 in Pediatric Dermatology, focused on the prevention of flare-ups in children with atopic dermatitis. This study showed that regular use of an emollient containing glycerol and paraffin can effectively reduce the frequency of flare-ups.
