It is a very nice, soft, and thin blanket. I want it for spring and autumn, that is, before and after the duvet. It is very nice and the size is just right. The stars glow slightly but that is relative. It depends on how dark the room is and what kind of light it has. If a lamp is on before sleep, obviously the stars will not glow as they should.
