Description

Description

The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 is a premium second-generation Hi-Fi network streamer and DAC. It combines uncompromising audio fidelity with modern digital processing and audio streaming technologies. It features a balanced signal-conversion architecture, a dedicated clocking system and an upgraded power supply. It offers extensive compatibility with popular music platforms, local network protocols and high-resolution files. Its luxurious aerospace-grade aluminium chassis and interactive touchscreen deliver an exceptional user experience.

Dual ES9038Q2M DAC, XMOS XU316, and EOS Engine

Digital-to-analog conversion uses two ESS ES9038Q2M chips for independent stereo decoding.
Paired with the 3rd-generation XMOS XU316 audio processor, it delivers lightning-fast data processing.
It supports playback of uncompressed audio files up to 32-bit / 768kHz PCM and native DSD512.
It also offers full MQA decoding on all compatible digital inputs.
The proprietary EOS (Eversolo Original-sampling-rate Audio Engine) bypasses SRC limitations.
The result is natural instrument timbre, rendered with exemplary accuracy and rich dynamics.

Femtosecond Clocks, OPA1612 Network, and Linear Power Supply

The clocking system features dual femtosecond oscillators for synchronization with exceptionally low jitter.
This architecture minimizes timing variations, delivering an exceptionally clean digital signal.
The analog stage uses a network of OPA1612 operational amplifiers with a noise level of just 1.1 nV/√Hz.
Distortion is limited to an impressive 0.000015% at 1 kHz, preserving the integrity of the sound.
Internal operation is supported by an ultra-low-noise linear power supply.
The stable power supply fully isolates the audio circuits from external electrical noise.

Balanced Circuit, XLR/RCA Outputs and HDMI Multichannel Audio

The unit features a fully balanced, symmetrical circuit that drives XLR and RCA outputs.
Its balanced design ensures a wide dynamic range and significantly reduces harmonic distortion.
It incorporates 2 DOH chips for HDMI Multi-Channel output (up to 5.1), with support for DSD Native and D2P.
It also features an HDMI ARC input for seamless connection and volume control from the TV.
It includes optical and coaxial digital inputs/outputs, a USB-B DAC port, and two USB-A ports.
Its extensive connectivity makes it easy to integrate into any high-end two-channel or multi-channel system.

6" Retina Touchscreen, EVC Control, and CNC-Machined Aluminum Chassis

The chassis is made of aerospace-grade aluminum, precision-machined using CNC technology.
The matte finish lends a luxurious look while also providing effective shielding against interference.
The front panel is dominated by a large 6-inch Retina color touchscreen with high resolution and instant response.
The new volume control is illuminated by a subtle graduated halo light ring.
The EVC (EverSolo Volume Control) engine preserves signal integrity at every volume level.
Users can easily navigate the settings and enjoy viewing high-resolution album artwork.

Streaming Platforms, Bluetooth LDAC, SSD and CD Ripping

Supports popular streaming services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Highresaudio, Deezer, Spotify and Amazon Music.
Features Roon Ready certification, Tidal Connect support, Apple AirPlay 2 and the DLNA protocol.
Wireless connectivity is provided by Dual-Band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) and Bluetooth 5.0 with a Qualcomm QCC5125 chip (LDAC, aptX HD).
Includes 4GB RAM + 32GB eMMC, with support for an internal M.2 NVMe SSD of up to 4TB.
Supports connecting an external USB optical drive for CD playback and lossless ripping with automatic metadata retrieval.
In addition, the 10-band PEQ parametric equalizer allows detailed customization of the acoustic response.

Perhaps the best model in my opinion of the entire Eversolo series in terms of value for money.

I believe it is the golden mean among streamers in the range of €200 to €5000, and provided the rest of the audio chain is top-notch (amplifiers, cables, and speakers), the room is well-treated, and the original playback format is crystal clear.

With this master edition, it is very easy to notice differences compared to cheaper models and much harder with more expensive ones (assuming, as I mentioned before, a high-quality audio chain).

Crystal clear sound, three-dimensional, bassy, and especially with version 2, which has upgraded its power supply to toroidal from SMPS, it became even better!!!

    Positives

    - Beautiful in the rack.
    - Compact - elegant size.
    - It is a streamer and Pre amplifier and DAC Player 3 in 1.
    - The only one in the series that plays from the HDMI multi ch 5.1 SACD ISO and any 5.1 format in general (flac - wave, etc).
    - Super bright screen with gradations, of course, and RGB color selection to your liking.
    - Its preamplifier easily drives a power amp with 1.5V and less input voltage.
    - With 2 Sabre DACs per channel and not one as in the WiiM Pro.
    - You can connect an external Mini CD player from a laptop that didn't have a tray and connect it to rip CDs on the spot or play any CD you have!!
    - It has room correction with a small microphone (microphone sold separately) for the best possible sound result in any problematic or non-problematic space.
    - If you get bored of its DACs after years, you can buy and connect an external DAC, keeping the Eversolo A6 as a streamer transport.
    - It does not overheat even during the hot summer season.
    - Balanced XLR outputs.
    - This master edition is upgraded with better - higher quality materials compared to the standard A6...

    Negatives

    - Its cost... but it is worth every euro you pay and you will keep it for years...

    - It is not R2R...
