The Hilti drill bit with an SDS Max shank is designed for hammer drilling in reinforced concrete, concrete, masonry, brick and limestone. Its fully embedded carbide head with X-geometry and multiple cutting edges helps reduce snagging and jamming on reinforcing bars while drilling.

The heat-treated flute improves wear resistance, while the wear mark helps assess whether the drill bit is suitable for anchor installation. The thinner, lighter helix makes drilling easier. It is used to drill holes for chemical and mechanical anchors, to install reinforcing bars with Hilti injectable bonding mortar, and for renovation work such as cutting sealing joints in masonry and concrete.
