  • Mesh

    What is Mesh WiFi?

Mesh technology eliminates the “dead” spots in the home by creating a single network with the same name (SSID) and password everywhere.

    Why is it important?

    • Automatic switching (Seamless Roaming): As you move around the house, your phone automatically connects to the strongest signal without dropping the connection (e.g. during video calls or gaming).

    • Maximum speed: Unlike simple extenders, Mesh maintains consistently high speeds without losses.

***Note: For it to work, your Router must also support the same Mesh technology (e.g. EasyMesh, OneMesh).

  • Maximum WLAN Speed

Theoretical maximum speed that the repeater can offer cumulatively to connected devices. The maximum speed it can offer to a single device may be lower.

  • Wi-Fi Generation

The Wi-Fi generation is a user-friendly separation that indicates the capabilities of Wi-Fi devices (maximum wireless connection speed, number of devices that can connect, frequencies they can transmit on).

    Wi‑Fi 6

The most modern Wi-Fi standard that offers speeds up to 40% faster than Wi-Fi 5. It coordinates communication with connected devices to consume less battery and performs better in environments with multiple Wi-Fi devices. Ideal for homes with many smart devices. Compatible with all devices that support any of the previous generations.

  • LAN Speed

The speed that the repeater can offer to devices connected to it via ethernet cable.

For simple use, this speed does not need to concern you.

    1000 Mbps

The connection via ethernet cable offers a speed of 1000Mbps (also known as Gigabit), which is the maximum speed that ethernet can support. It is usually encountered in professional environments where the transfer of large files (such as high-definition videos) is a common occurrence, and in repeaters that support corresponding high WLAN speeds.

Ethernet Ports

The ethernet cable ports available on the device. Devices can be connected to these ports with corresponding cables and have access to the local network of the house as well as the internet.

For example, a printer can be accessed by all other devices on the network.

Wi-Fi Features

Frequency
Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz)

Frequency

The frequencies in which the Wi-Fi Repeater can transmit.

2. Additional frequencies allow for greater speed on more devices.

3. Most transmit on one (2.4GHz) or two (2.4&5GHz) frequencies.

Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz)
They transmit signals on two frequencies. They offer higher speeds compared to single and can connect more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common and usually has a large range, but it is often congested by neighboring Wi-Fi signals, making communication between devices more difficult. The 5Ghz provides faster speeds than the 2.4Ghz, but it is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g. walls) that reduce its range. This difference, as well as its more limited use, helps to reduce interference from other networks.
Maximum WLAN Speed
5400 Mbps

Maximum WLAN Speed

Theoretical maximum speed that the repeater can offer cumulatively to connected devices. The maximum speed it can offer to a single device may be lower.
Wi-Fi Generation
Wi‑Fi 6

Wi-Fi Generation

The Wi-Fi generation is a user-friendly separation that indicates the capabilities of Wi-Fi devices (maximum wireless connection speed, number of devices that can connect, frequencies they can transmit on).

Wi‑Fi 6
The most modern Wi-Fi standard that offers speeds up to 40% faster than Wi-Fi 5. It coordinates communication with connected devices to consume less battery and performs better in environments with multiple Wi-Fi devices. Ideal for homes with many smart devices. Compatible with all devices that support any of the previous generations.
IEEE Networking Standards
802.11 b/g/n, 802.11a, 802.11ac, 802.11ax

IEEE Networking Standards

The networking standards describe the frequencies and maximum speeds supported by the device. This information is also reflected in the more user-friendly Wi-Fi generations, such as Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac) or Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax).

802.11 b/g/n

The older Wi-Fi standard, known as Wi-Fi 4, is significantly slower than Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax).

It is recommended for use with few devices and for applications that do not require high speeds. For most users, it would be preferable to choose a Wi-Fi 5 or 6 device depending on their needs.

Each newer generation is compatible with devices that support a previous one.

802.11a

The older Wi-Fi standard is even older than Wi-Fi 4 (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) which is significantly slower than Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax).

All subsequent generations are compatible with devices that support a previous one, so it is recommended that the repeater also supports more modern standards.

802.11ac
The most common Wi-Fi standard, known as Wi-Fi 5, is significantly faster than Wi-Fi 4 (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n). 2. Wi-Fi 5 can currently meet the needs of most users, but there is now the next generation Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) which offers the ability to connect many more devices to serve the increasingly smart devices in a home. 3. Each newer generation is compatible with devices that support a previous one.
802.11ax
The latest Wi-Fi standard, also known as Wi-Fi 6, offers speeds up to 40% faster than Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac), coordinates communication with connected devices to consume less battery, and performs better in environments with multiple Wi-Fi devices. Ideal for homes with many smart devices. Compatible with all previous generations.
