Cotton socks for atonic ulcers Sigvaris Ulcer-X, ideal for patients with venous ulcers in the legs. The Ulcer-X sock is used as an intermediate sock below the knee, providing soft protection between the problematic foot and a class 2 compression sock.
The lightweight Ulcer-X sock is specifically designed for the dry, irritated, and distressed feet of patients with atonic ulcers. On one hand, the use of a tight sock (class 2) is required, while on the other hand, individuals with such issues need an internal lining that protects them from the pressure of the external sock.
The ULCER-X internal lining sock is beige in color, has closed toes in the front, and is made of 62% Polyamide, 26% Elastane, and 12% cotton. Before use, the venous ulcer should be dry, and a special dressing should be placed on it to remove dead tissue to prevent the sock from sticking.
The intermediate sock (low compression) Ulcer-X is recommended by angiologists to be worn during sleep, unlike the external class 2 sock, which should be removed to allow the foot to rest in a supine position.
To choose the appropriate size for the Ulcer-X, measurements should be taken in the morning on resting feet, and both feet should be measured separately, as there may be differences due to edema or other reasons.
