The mythical comic book hero Zagor was created in 1961. His real name is Patrick Wilding, but the Indians call him Zagor or Za-Gor-Te-Nay, which means "The Spirit with the Hatchet." Zagor is the legendary hero of forests, mountains, and lakes who maintains peace between whites and Indians and punishes criminals. Zagor's adventures—always alongside his faithful friend, Chico—take place in the first half of the 19th century, in the northeastern part of the United States in the fictional forest of Darkwood.

Since its first publication in our country in 1970, his stories have won over readers and have become a constant value, offering a unique mix of action, drama, humor, and horror. Funny yet clumsy, incredibly gluttonous, kind-hearted and brave, explosive and clever, in his own way but above all loyal.
