The feeling of suffocation had already appeared even before the upheaval of recent years and the funds abruptly emptied. It was a poverty before the poverty, a tingling of idleness before unemployment, a boredom that gnawed like a worm at pleasures.
Sometimes, some wanted to share their enjoyment at a table set for friends, but ultimately out of fear, they preferred to keep it secret and devour it alone, just like their dogs would.
The question is whether this will become the norm of the future. Or whether, on the contrary, through the very difficulties that will arise, the desire for a celebration of diversion will spring forth, even with modest means.
For it will seem like a perverse wasting of the life that was given to us for free, to chop it into pieces that we will endlessly sell and buy, indeed stealing from each other on the scale.
