Description

A three-day trip to Ioannina with a stranger, a little "rascality." For the parade. For a rice pudding. For wherever it takes us. The situation breaks, the flags are hoisted and Ersi Sotiropoulou nervously calls us from the intercom, "Come on, where are you?", to come for a while to where she lives, in the ambiguous world of truth.

There, the objects stand on their feet, the parade routinely taps its heels on the asphalt, the rain smells like a small town. But, from the sound of water in the drains to the Esperia hotel, reality changes body, smell, and texture to become something only we saw, while others looked at the flag.

"The outrageous ending confirms the author's dark comic vein: it prompts you to laugh, but at the same time you are afraid to do so." Ilias Magklinis

"With its murky ancestor being Kafka's Metamorphosis, the Festive three-day event symbolically nightmarishly represents a reality: The romantic relationship — or schism? — of male and female." Christos Bravos

"If we cling to the love scenes of the book, chasing the conventionally immoral, we have little to gain from the Festive three-day event. Because if there is anything significant in this novella, it is this continuous consumption, the expenditure of the body, which reaches its climax in the description of a symbolic cannibalism."
