Rattan

It is distinguished into natural and artificial. Natural Rattan comes from various species of palm trees, as opposed to artificial which is classified as plastic. Natural Rattan has a better aesthetic result than artificial (although aesthetic issues are subjective), but is more vulnerable to humidity and sunlight. Synthetic Rattan may be more durable than natural, but still needs protection from sunlight and humidity. Therefore, it is better to place it under a roof, while in winter it should be stored indoors or covered with a cover.
