Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open for PS5 follows Ting, a girl who can see spirits as she comes of age in a Malaysian suburb. The story spans five defining years of her childhood and focuses on her friendship with the spirit Xiu, her family relationships, and her efforts to understand her supernatural abilities. The narrative draws on Malaysian traditions, culture, and folklore, and is presented in a vibrant “paper theatre” style inspired by Southeast Asian Jos-Papercraft.
This adventure combines exploration, puzzles, difficult conversations, and choices that affect the story’s course. Ting helps lost souls and faces spirits and other threats, while the minigames add depth to her journey.
