Herbal tinctures are made by soaking an herb in an alcoholic solution (usually pure alcohol) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the herb dissolve into the solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture. They are significantly more potent than extracts and teas.
Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) is a large deciduous tree with serrated leaves and white-pink pyramid-shaped flowers. Its bark contains aesculin, coumarin, and vitamin P, which have therapeutic properties. Vitamin P strengthens capillaries, aids blood circulation, soothes pain from hemorrhoids, and helps relieve symptoms related to venous insufficiency.
- Helps the functioning of the circulatory system.
- Better addresses phlebitis, hemorrhoids, and varicose veins.
Tinctures preserve all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly easy to take, and are completely natural. They have an advantage over dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals and are absorbed more effectively by the body.
The usual dosage is 1ml (approximately 20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
All herbal tinctures are produced in the Netherlands under strict specifications.
