The velvet covering and tie cords help keep it securely positioned around the neck. It is used to stretch and decompress the cervical spine and may help relieve pain and muscle tension.

It can be used while sitting or standing, but not while sleeping. Medical advice is recommended before use in cases of serious musculoskeletal problems or a cervical herniated disc. Continuous use should not exceed 15–20 minutes without a break. Clean with a damp, soft cloth.
