The Lodge deep cast iron skillet is pre-seasoned with vegetable oil, creating a non-stick surface that lets you use it straight out of the box. It distributes heat evenly and retains it, and can be used on all stovetops, in the oven, on the grill or over an open fire. It is suitable for sautéing, frying and baking.

For best results, you can spread a thin layer of vegetable oil over the surface before cooking. Clean it with hot water and a stiff plastic brush, dry it immediately, and apply a little oil while it is still warm. Dish soap and the dishwasher are not recommended.
