The BLS225 is a speaker cable with double insulation, consisting of two twisted conductors inside a flexible outer PVC jacket. The double insulation allows the cable to be used in public address systems (100V), while the smooth and durable outer jacket offers ease of installation and pulling, making it ideal for professional installers.
The cable consists of two individual conductors with a cross-section of 2 x 2.5 mm² (13 AWG), which are made from multi-stranded CCA wires (copper-clad aluminum). The stranding of the conductors keeps the cable flexible and easy to use, while the CCA construction offers electrical performance between pure copper and pure aluminum. It combines the advantages of both materials, such as solderability, lower weight, and lower cost compared to pure copper, with higher conductivity and mechanical strength than pure aluminum. The composition of the conductive material is 75% aluminum and 25% copper.
