Description & Specifications

Fonte alla Selva, "fountain in the forest," refers to the clear stream and the tall trees said to have been created by the Etruscan gods to give life to the once dry and barren land. It is an excellent expression of Chianti Classico, whose round body and character perfectly reflect the Banfi quality standard.

The grapes come from the vineyards in Castellina, the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Fermentation takes place with traditional maceration for 8-10 days, followed by brief aging in French oak barrels.

A wine with a complex aromatic character that releases notes of cherry, blackberry, plum, and licorice. On the palate, it has excellent structure, is balanced with good acidity, and has a long finish.

Food pairing - Excellent accompaniment to red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
