Το NS Design CR4-VN-AM είναι ένα ηλεκτρικό βιολί πλήρους μεγέθους 4/4 συμπαγούς σώματος (Solid Body), σχεδιασμένο από τον Ned Steinberger και κατασκευασμένο στην Τσεχία για ζωντανές εμφανίσεις στη σκηνή και ηχογραφήσεις στο στούντιο. Το όργανο διαθέτει μονοκόμματο σώμα και μπράτσο από συμπαγή ευρωπαϊκό σφένδαμο (Solid European Maple) με καπάκι από φλογωτό σφένδαμο (Flamed Maple Face) σε φινίρισμα Amber. Ενσωματώνει το πατενταρισμένο σύστημα αυτοκατευθυνόμενης πιεζοηλεκτρικής λήψης Polar Pickup System, το οποίο εναλλάσσεται μεταξύ λειτουργίας δοξαριού (Arco) και τσιμπήματος (Pizzicato) για εξάλειψη της ακουστικής ανάδρασης. Ο ενεργός προενισχυτής 18V περιλαμβάνει ρυθμιστικά έντασης, πρίμων και μπάσων, καθώς και έξοδο ακουστικών. Solid Body Construction & Headless Tuning System

The NS Design CR4 is built with a one-piece body and neck made of solid European maple, offering high mechanical rigidity, stability against temperature and humidity fluctuations, and prolonged vibration decay (sustain). The headless design shifts the center of gravity toward the body of the instrument, reducing player fatigue. Integrated into the back of the body is the Precision Tuning System with a 40:1 gear ratio, which accepts standard ball-end violin strings and provides smooth, precise tuning without slippage.

Polar Pickup Piezoelectric System & 18V Active Electronics

The sound conversion is based on the patented Polar Pickup System, which uses piezoelectric crystals sensitive to the direction of the string vibrations. Using the built-in two-position switch, the musician can choose between Arco mode (optimized for lateral bowing vibrations, with a rich response across the frequency spectrum) and Pizzicato mode (optimized for vertical string movement, delivering a percussive attack and extended resonance). The active 18V preamp circuit provides ample headroom without distortion, with separate controls for treble, bass, and volume.

Ergonomic Support, Ebony Fingerboard & Connectivity

The fingerboard is made from solid ebony (Ebony) and features an asymmetrical contoured profile for comfortable access to the higher positions, complemented by discreet Cascade Dot markers along the side. The instrument comes with the fully adjustable Custom Shoulder Rest, which allows precise adjustment of height, tilt angle, and distance from the player's body. In terms of connectivity, in addition to the main 6.35 mm output for amplifiers and audio consoles, it includes an independent 3.5 mm stereo headphone output for silent practice.
