PPG Sigmacover 280 epoxy primer is intended for non-ferrous metals and combines corrosion protection with resistance to water penetration. It adheres even to rust, as well as to steel and galvanized steel, and its abrasion resistance makes it suitable for protecting welded joints. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray and can be topcoated with most alkyd, chlorinated rubber, vinyl, epoxy and polyurethane paints, as well as automotive paints.

It is used on boats and yachts, including their underwater sections, as well as on vehicles, trailers, truck chassis, construction machinery and agricultural machinery. Surface preparation requires sanding, washing and degreasing before application.
