The VC 3-way valve is suitable for regulating hot or cold water flow in heating and cooling systems in homes and small commercial buildings. It acts as a flow diverter and can control a fan coil unit, radiator, heater, or convector. Flow can be diverted from port AB to ports A or B, and from ports A or B to port AB.

The actuator travel is sinusoidal, helping ensure quiet operation and reduce water hammer. The actuator consumes power only while moving the valve to the desired position. Depending on the actuator model, it is controlled by controllers with normally open SPST or changeover SPDT contacts, such as room thermostats, immersion thermostats, and surface-mounted thermostats.
